WHAT IS COLD-PRESSED JUICE? The term cold-pressed refers to the fact that no heat is introduced in the juicing process. Cold-Pressed juice is juice that has been extracted using pressure from a hydraulic press, instead of spinning blades. This allows the freshest, healthiest juice to be made. HOW DOES IT WORK? Organic, raw produce is washed and cut into pieces and put into the grinder, which reduces the fruits and vegetables to pulp. The pulp goes into a hydraulic press which applies pressure to extract the juice and leave behind the pulp. Cirtus is peeled and put directly into the press. WHAT ABOUT THE FIBER IN THE PULP? Many ask, why not eat the whole vegetable and fruit, why discard the fiber? The answer is simple: fibrous, solid food requires many hours of digestive activity before its nourishment is finally available to the cells and the tissue of the body. Extracting the juice, by removing the fiber enables the juices to be digested quicker and with minimum effort and exertion on the part of the digestive system. WHY COLD-PRESSED JUICE? Conventional methods of juicing allow heat and oxygen to disrupt the process which destroys many beneficial nutrients along the way. Cold-pressing helps preserve the original nutritional value of the fruits and vegetables and keep the nutrient-rich enzymes intact while preserving the natural flavors of the produce.
